Sockwars - Target Three Eliminated

For your blogging pleasure I didn't totally lose my mind and remembered to take pictures of my third pair of Scar Socks. And dun dun da duh! the first full frontals of my monsters! Don't expect a lot of these they usually don't stand still long enough to get a non blurry picture of them and as you can see the little monster was freaking out a bit but I couldn't leave him out.

These lovely socks were handed over by Fit to Knit!!! who got them from Elaine Sue and one sock was half done I finished the rest of that one and the other in just 2 days! My lord my children are sick of mac and cheese! But hey I put broccoli in it! And they like it! And it was organic and whole wheat! I'm sure they'll be begging for mac and cheese again soon they are children after all. But I digress. The socks were made for Ritabelle. I'm sorry I just don't know if these ladies have blogs... Darn! So here we go with the best part the pictures!
Big monster likes the sock. Hope Ritabelle doesn't mind that I put my foot in her sock. ;) Believe me they were clean. I was wearing some warm woolly socks all day because it was cold.

And here you can see where I took over the knitting of the sock. The bottom three floated "scars" are done by the previous knitter and the rest all the way to the top are mine. I do the scar a little different than the pattern called for because I thought it looked a little neater. The pattern says to pick up the floated stitch and knit it together with the other stitch but I just put the floated stitch behind the stitch to be knitted by putting the needle under the float and then knitting the stitch and pulling the new stitch through the float and the knitted stitch. I this makes no sense perhaps I can take pictures when I make a new pair.

My free flickr account is full and I've tried to buy a pro account about a million times but it keeps freaking out on me and so for the time being my flickr account will have no new pictures... Dang it!Enjoy!
