Well no new knitting photos. I've just sent in my cammera to be fixed. I've been without long enough. So soon I will be able to take pictures of recent projects. Working on the socks for the Hogwarts sock swap after knitting and frogging about 4 different patterns and finding them not stretchy enough. And don't try and knit a size 8 1/2 sock from the book more sensational knitted socks the foot circumfrence for an 8 1/2 shoes just doesn't match up with any guage I could get with my yarn. Bah! It was frustrating indead! So I found the Pembrookshire Pathways socks. A nice lace pattern only a 4 row repeat and very stretchy but it huggs and is springy. The lace pattern doesn't disrupt the integrity of the striping in the yarn. I got my pal some self stripping yarn from cosmicfibers in her Hogwarts house colors. I'm excited!
Other fun news is that I sold my first sock knitting pouch at my etsy shop. It's going to be used for a giveaway on an Ravelry group called Mallabrigo Junkies, and now I'm dieing to get my hands on some Mallabrigo no one here in town carries it, but Jimmy Bean's Wool carries it and well they are fabulous to order from and they are in Reno, Nevada so shipping is fast fast fast! :)
Last summer we stopped for the night in Reno on our trip to the northwestern coast of the US and I knew they were there and I wanted to go the next day but I was dellerious from lack of sleep by the next morning I hadn't slept in almost 50 something hours because the bed was so hard and the baby wouldn't sleep and well my hubby was snorring and it made a very bad night so I just got in the car and my husband drove out of town and I totaly forgot! I want to go back this summer just for the yarn, but my husband has no desire to see Reno again, and really when you live in Vegas and then go to Reno it's like going to the state fair instead of Disneyland.
Well I have only one disk left of The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan to listen to so I'll be hiding over here by the computer listening with the noise canceling headphones and knitting until it's time to feed the monsters because Mommy's espresso hasn't kicked in yet.
