Freedom and accidents

I am free I can walk on both feet! Break out the knitted socks it's time to go shoe shopping! Of course my feet don't feel pain free but they actually feel better than they did before they did the surgery! Yay! I have some lovely scars now, guys like scars right? Time to get a Pedicure!

I have some sad news too... My HSS4 buddy fell off her porch and broke her wrist. Poor thing isn't able to knit! She had hand dyed me some yarn s she will be sending that along, and I am always happy to own a one of a kind skein of yarn! I hope she likes the socks I'm knitting. I am almost done with the first one.

My little monsters are dueling with their wands in the living room so I need to go before someone gets hexed!

Hogwarts Sock Swap is ON!

I now know who my swap buddy is. This is great, this year instead of it being a secret swap you have a swap buddy who knits for you and you knit for them! We are both second years. She is a Ravenclaw and I was almost sorted into Ravenclaw. I've even gotten a few things for her kit already just have to decide on what socks to knit. And now I bet your wondering who is this mystery person, this fabulous Hogwarts buddy of mine well she is the most gracious and busy Pernelle Auckerly. Pop on over and say hi!

Sock Knitters Pentathlon 08' sock 3

Here are my finished pair of socks for the sock knitters pentathlon 2008. I have only one sock modeled in the picture as my other foot was currently being occupied by it's constraint of a boot from surgery. Good news though my right foot has been freed from it's prison hurah!
These socks are the Rattlesnake Creek socks by Anne Podlesak. It's a fun pattern and I really enjoyed making them. The yarn is Pagewoodfarm's Yukon Hand Dyed Bamboo Sock Yarn in the color Denim.

Little monster just had to wear my handknit socks. He put them on all by himself too! What a big boy. The only way I convinced him to take them off before bed was to let him pick out some socks from his own drawer.
