Half-Blood Prince Poster

Half-Blood Prince Poster

Looky what I saw at the theater last night. The first of the official HBP posters in the theater with all the other upcoming film posters. This was the first one on the wall when you walk in. It's like it's really going to be in theater this time!

And on the bottom right side of the poster it says

HBP ie HP6 Release Date

Now they can't change the film date now right? If it's on a poster it's got to be real. Get ready everyone. Do your final knitting (perhaps in lightweight cotton?) the movie will be out 7-17-09 woo!!! We'll have to go to the midnight show so we wont sweat to death in our robes and scarves. Theaters are always too cold anyway.

Tagged 6, 6, 6?

I was tagged by my HSKS7 Spoiler Alitrya Spelling

Instructions:

Here is what you do:
1. Go to your pictures on your computer
2. Open the 6th folder
3. Choose the 6th picture
4. Show the picture on your blog and write something about it.
5. Invite 6 new people to this challenge.
6. Link to them and let them know they have been tagged.

Here is mine:this is from August 2007 it's my son sitting on the couch being a couch potato and watching blues clues shortly after he gave himself a haircut that resulted in mommy having to "fix" it and the result was reminiscent of something you would see in a concentration camp. I have no idea why I took this picture. You can also see the baby gate and the baby's favorite toy an annoying toy when the batteries start to run out because it will randomly make Satanic noises in the middle of the night. And the baby insisted on always setting it on Spanish but I don't think he learned any Spanish from playing with it. That's my house nice and tiny. Still in that house too it's too small for all of us but it's shelter.

Now I think I will tag my spoilee Agatha, and CentyB, Lizzie, Clara, Chrysta, and Victoria

The Knit Kit!!!

Oh wow! I haven't been this excited about a gadget since I bought my first Miss A Kit. (See my post about MissA here) But now this is Waaaay better! I thought the Miss A was an Uber useful tool but welcome to the Knit Kit!
This fabulous kit is available for preorder now and even though 20 bucks sounds a little high still I don't think I'll be able to resist it for much longer... If you do want to google for the kit I suggest googling "The Knit Kit" because without the " " you'll get tons of non relevant info. Or just follow my link to The Knit Kit Website and search for locations. :) I must share the fun!

What is the knit kit? Well it's a tape measure, with included Row Counter, thread cutter and crochet hook on the outside with a little pair of Airline approved scissors on the inside with stitch markers and point protectors! Looks like plenty of room to include your favorite darning needle on the inside. ;) Oh who else is dancing in their seat just thinking about it?

Oh Drool!!!

So I've got the most wonderful Husband in the whole world! Today we had planned a trip to the Natural History Museum to see Dinosaur bones with the kids; but since it was raining and my son didn't remember that any such plans had been made I ran to McDonalds dropped it off with the boys and ran over to Gail Knits my LYS. Bad Mommy! Should be making them eat broccoli or something.

I have already picked out the project I will be making my pal Agatha Vablatsky for HSKS7 so I ran over and picked out the yarn I needed. They even had a lovely color of the same yarn called for in the pattern! I think this will be the very first project I have ever used the recommended yarn for. No wait there are my Biscotte & Cie sock club patterns,(Captain Jack and Trelawney's Bag [Ravelry Links]) but that's different they came with the pattern.

I was being so good! I picked out the yarn I needed and as it was being wound into balls by the lovely, cheerful, and sincerely friendly Gail I wandered the shop a little more and found more of the lovely hand painted Pagewood Farms Yukon sock yarn in the color Navajo. Yukon is a lovely bamboo merino nylon blend that feels like heaven in your hands and on your feet! And they always have amazing different blues. I made these Rattlesnake Creek Socks with the color Denim. I think this is my 3rd hank in a different blue. Les Sigh! I can't help myself! I kept myself at the counter until she told me total for the yarn I needed and gave in and ran over grabbed the yarn I coveted almost grabbed 5 other colors (but didn't) and ran back to the counter and she checked me out. Then I made comment about my 2 sets of interchangeables wich led to a discussion of my Denise needles and my Knitpicks Harmony interchangeables, and my disappointment with the Harmony wood join. Then she offers to show me her set of the new Addi Clicks! Oh God! I now know what the Holy Grail of knitting needles looks like! I believe I will have to get another set of interchangeables... Perhaps I can regift one of my other sets to make myself feel as though I need a new set? But no matter what I do I will be getting the Addi Clicks. They have a spring loaded join so there is no screwing or unscrewing they take a bit of deliberate force to come undone. Wonderfully flexible cord that isn't too thin and isn't too thick and Gail says it's the cord they are going to be putting on all their needles from now on so there is another reason to buy MORE Addis for knitting socks... Ack!
But I had a really great time and it was so relaxing to be there without my kids! It was nice and busy and lovely wool and bamboo fumes have come home with me! And some lama (tease tease Agatha!)

Now I need to go hide this new yarn in my stash before my husband notices me fondling it.

Stash 005

weird I love their light blues and I don't usualy like lighter blues... And look at the swirls of the palest browns and whites.... yummy
